Restoring Data
To perform restoration of Plesk hosting data, you should execute the
pleskrestore
utility command composed so that it does the following:
- Defines the Plesk objects to be restored.
- Defines how the restore process will be performed.
- Defines conflict resolution rules and policies.
The following sections explains each component in detail.
The
pleskrestore
utility is located in %plesk_dir%\bin\
where
%plesk_dir%
is an environment variable for the Plesk
installation directory. By default, it is
"C:\Program Files\Plesk\"

If a restoration process fails, you can use its logs for
troubleshooting. Each restoration process’s logs are stored in
%plesk_dir%\PMMlogs\restore-YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm-nnn
, where
YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm
is the date and time when the restoration was
performed and nnn
is a randomly generated number.
