By default, all your licenses are associated with the Default Plesk Configuration. You can create more configurations and associate licenses with different configurations in order to apply different settings to Plesk installations.

Each Plesk server connects to Partner Central once a day to check if updated settings are available. If a configuration has the Active status, its settings are transferred and applied to corresponding Plesk servers. This can take up to 24 hours. The settings of configurations with the Inactive status are not transferred.

Creating Product Configurations

To create a product configuration:

  1. Go to the Product Configurations tab and click Create Configuration on the left panel.
  2. Enter the name of the configuration and click OK.

By default, a newly created configuration has the Inactive status. After you have edited the settings of a configuration, you can click Activate in the configuration’s general settings and then associate licenses with the configuration.

Another way to create a configuration is to make a copy of an existing configuration. The new configuration receives all the settings of the existing configuration.

To copy a product configuration:

  1. Go to the Product Configurations tab and open the configuration you want to copy.
  2. Click Copy on the toolbar.
  3. Enter the name of the new configuration and click OK.

After this, you can modify settings of the new configuration, and associate licenses with it.

Associating Licenses with a Product Configuration

To change the product configuration for one or more licenses:

  1. Go to the Manage Licenses tab and select the required licenses.

    To display only required licenses, you can filter the list of licenses. Then you will be able to select all the required licenses at once by selecting the checkbox in the first column’s title.

  2. Click Change Product Configuration on the toolbar above the list of licenses, select the new configuration and click Change.

Deleting Product Configurations

You can delete product configurations provided that no active licenses are using these configurations. You need to have the corresponding permission to do this.

The default configuration cannot be deleted.

To delete a product configuration:

  1. Go to the Product Configurations tab and open the configuration you want to delete.
  2. Click Delete on the toolbar and confirm the deletion.
